Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty, born October 1, 1995, was raised in Berkeley, California. She is an actress from America who was seen on screen in Choices (2010) and The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004).
Asia Argento, born in Rome to a family that includes directors and actors, also pursued these careers. As a young girl and acting, she made her debut in Sergio Ciotti's film Sogni e bisogni. in 1988 she portrayed the leading role in the first feature of Cristina Comencini's film Zoo. In addition, she was an integral part of Michele Soavi's acting cast for The Church. Red Wood Pigeon, the film in which she starred as Nanni Moretti's daughter came out a year after. But it came from Close Friends by Michele Placido that saw Asia's acting career explode. The film received an enthusiastic reception at the Cannes International Film Festival. Daria Nicholodi was one of the most beloved actresses of Argento and performed the part of an anorexic child searching for the killer. Asia worked alongside Dario Argento in three of his films, Trauma, The Stendhal Syndrome as well as the Phantom of the Opera. In Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a nozze, Asia's absorbed manner of character acting was used well. The role she played as Arianna in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di the vista, a physically handicapped girl, was a challenging and complicated role that brought her the David di Donatello award as the most outstanding actress. Her film debut was a part as Queen Margot, directed by Patrice Cereau. She was a part of Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio with Michel Piccoli and won the David di Donatello award and an award of Grolla oro. Asia's first short film was a scene from the De Generazione movie. Two years following, Asia became a director and made two more films. One of them, AbelAsia is a tribute to her father. Asia began directing her first feature film in 1999. It was Scarlet Diva. For this film she also played the star and wrote the script. It premiered worldwide during May of 2000. The Williamsburg Film festival held in Brooklyn, New York awarded it a prize.
